I grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My undergraduate degree is in creative writing, from UNC-Asheville. I got an MA in church history and monastic studies from St. John’s University in Minnesota.
I’ve published a novel called The Tyranny of Jessica. The main characters are a human copy editor and a robot who rules the world. It’s funny, I hope. You can get a copy here. In the realm of nonfiction, I’ve written more than 125 essays, articles and book reviews for a number of magazines and journals, including the National Catholic Reporter and the Charlotte Observer. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Library Science/Archives and Records Management.
